1802 House Bed and Breakfast Inn new website

Roger and I are in our third season as the owners/keepers of this beautiful Kennebunkport Maine Bed and Breakfast.  The 1802 House has been an Inn for 30 years making it one of the oldest lodging accommodations in Kennebunkport.  There have been many owners that came before us who put their individual stamp on the Inn.  We were anxious to do the same and have spent the quiet months the last two years remodeling the Inn, updating the amenities and refreshing the look and feel inside and out.  We’ve been very careful to maintain the colonial charm of the property while ensuring guests enjoy a more modern hospitality.  We’re pleased to have become a member of the Select Registry Distinguished Inns of North America and a Diamond Member of BedandBreakfast.com.  More importantly, our guests tell us how much they enjoy being here which is what it’s all about!  We are now in the top 5 Bed and Breakfasts in Kennebunkport on TripAdvisor (hovering around 3 of 25 at the moment).

Our new website is a big update for us.  I wrote/created the previous site when we were in the process of purchasing the Inn in 2012.  I spent hours on the train to and from London (commuting to my corporate job) working on the text and structure of that site so we would have something live the day we became the innkeepers at the 1802 House Bed and Breakfast.  I’ve always referred to it as our Version 1.0 site.  It did the job, but was fairly basic.  In addition to a new site, we also wanted to refresh the look and feel of our brand with a new logo and (again) more modern look while not getting too far away from the charm that is this lovingly restored Kennebunkport accommodation.  New photos of our remodeled rooms added the final touches.

We love our new site and hope that you do too!

  1. My husband and I just spent our 2nd visit to 1802 House and loved it more than our first visit in 2013. The accomodations are wonderful, the breakfasts are delicious and healthy and Teri and Roger are very accomodating and friendly and made our second visit to their home a truly great experience. We hope to make our trips to 1802 an annual vacation. Thank you Teri and Roger.
