We’ve made the very difficult decision to close our doors until April 8th. This is the socially responsible thing to do at this time. We’d like to reassure our guests that we are still accepting reservations for the current season.
We’d also like to use this time to thank everyone who has supported us during this difficult time. We are offering a key workers discount for anyone who has been working to help the public during this truly unprecedented time.
We are also still selling our gift certificates, so if you would like to support local businesses, every little helps! Please consider purchasing a gift certificate to any business you can, large or small, they can always be redeemed later.

We’re going through a bit of a worrying time right now. With COVID-19 at the forefront of everyone’s mind, we wanted to reassure our guests that the 1802 House remains open and is as clean and safe as ever. We have always taken great pride in the safety and cleanliness of every space, both communal and private within our gorgeous inn.
Anyone who has stayed with us knows that Eileen and the staff of the 1802 House are highly trained and their number one priority is the comfort and safety of our guests. Eileen was an Operating Department Practitioner for the NHS for 18 years, meaning she knows how to clean things really, really well- and that is already everyday practice for us.
Our breakfast has always been served table side and we will continue to serve breakfast at individual tables in our dining room. We will however offer a modified in-room breakfast service in Arundel, Windsor and Sebago for guests that would prefer to be seated separately.
We are staying up to date with all news regarding COVID-19 and rest assured that we will be implementing increased cleaning and hygiene protocols in line with local public health authorities and CDC recommendations. If any additional measures need to be taken, we will address those as and when they arise but for now, guests can rest assured that we offer only the best of the best for each guest.
